Una Howard

Counselor
Hypnotherapist 

Una Howard is a born healer with a B. A. major in Sociology, minor in Psychology and Newfoundland Studies  and a B. ED. in Post- secondary Education with a specialization in Business and a M.ED In Counselling Psychology. She is currently Licensed by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC), The Association of Naturopaths and Naturotherapists (ANN) and the National Guild of Hypnotists NGH.  Una has an extensive background working with both chronic pain sufferers and with at risk children and youth at Eastern Health and The John Howard Society. In her 12 years of private practice, she has also acquired certification in Life Coaching, Hypnosis, Emotional Clearing and Somatic healing.

Judy Morgan

Counselor

Judy has a strong belief that every individual has the strength and ability to overcome life challenges and collaborates with her clients to help them achieve the changes they are striving for. Judy is a registered clinical therapist with a  Masters degree in social work from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her work over the past 20 years has been with youth, adults and families who have struggled with addictions, depression, anxiety and trauma related issues. She has had training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Structured Relapse Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Practice and Workplace Conflict Management.

Kelsey Una Templeman

Artist

Kelsey Una is a self taught artist from St. John’s, NL. With nearly 10 years of painting and showing under her belt, she offers a new view on various artistic approaches to help inspire even the most timid artist. Since returning from y teacher training in Kingston Ontario, Kelsey fills her second passion as Yoga instructor with Restart Yoga here at The Self Centre. She is dedicated to helping you grow your personal yoga practice at any stage by focusing on your body and your needs.

Nancy Galway

PTSD, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, suicide, sad, insomnia, low mood, yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, coping, coping better.

Nancy has been in the social work and support field since the 80’s. She worked as a social service worker for many years, completing her Bachelor of Social Work in 2003. A big part of her career was in corrections and has worked in family services, long term care, elder abuse, children’s grief, sexual abuse agencies, walk in counselling clinics and with a mobile crisis team. Nancy likes to describe her work history as eclectic so what you tell her is not going to be shocking, unnerving, or “weird”.

She has served on many agency boards serving individuals affected by trauma and received an award in the elder abuse field. Several years ago she graduated with her master’s degree in Social work at the ripe old age of 55. This late bloomer believes It’s never too late to do what you want to do.
